Taking Flight is a baby quilt that measures about 39-1/2" x 47". It's made up of two traditional quilt blocks, Birds in the Air and Thrifty, all placed on point and surrounded by floral setting triangles. An inner gingham border surrounds the main body of the quilt and the big floral used in setting triangles is repeated in a wider outer border with cornerstones.
As with any quilt pattern, uou can change the quilt's theme by altering fabrics -- Taking Flight is a good candidate for a scrap quilt -- mix it up as much as you like.
